The Journal of Communication, Language and Culture (JCLC) is an open access academic journal that adheres to the highest standards of peer review and engages both emerging and established scholars from around the world. JCLC is a multidisciplinary journal that is centered in communication, language and culture and is open and welcoming to contributions from the many disciplines and approaches in these disciplines. The readership of the journal are multidisciplinary in nature. It offers a forum to help researchers, specialists, academics to have a common platform devoted to the multidisciplinary study of communication, language and culture.

The Call for Papers: AI in Communication, Language and Culture for the Journal of Communication, Language and Culture (JCLC) will close this week.

This call is for the 2026 Thematic Issue on Artificial Intelligence in Communication, Language and Culture.

  • Final Submission Deadline: 17 January 2026

  • Publication Date: July 2026

  • Guest Editor: Dr. Rani Ann Balaram, Universiti Sains Malaysia

Proposed topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Human–machine communication

  • Language processing and translation

  • Cultural representation and identity

  • Ethics and bias in AI

  • AI in media and discourse

  • Educational and pedagogical applications

JCLC is indexed in Scopus and other major databases.

Authors are encouraged to submit their manuscripts before the deadline, as no late submissions will be accepted.
