Artificial Intelligence in Judicial Systems: Evidence from the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia

Abstract
The advancement of artificial intelligence in the world can be observed through many aspects but less in the judicial system especially in Malaysia. Judicial system is often perceived as a sacred entity where it requires a vivid separation with the progressive of technologies. The problem arises from an increasing number of litigation cases that exceed the workforce and enforcement resources needed to handle them efficiently. As a result, justice can only be served after several years. The objective of this chapter is to analyse the application of artificial intelligence in the United Kingdom, China and Malaysia’s judicial system and how it provides a positive impact towards the country's judiciary through doctrinal legal research. It is observed that the application of artificial intelligence is less in the United Kingdom and Malaysia compared to China. Furthermore, it is found that there is a high possibility of incorporating artificial intelligence into the Malaysia judicial system through the machine learning system. In conclusion, the time has come for the revolution of artificial intelligence in the judicial system.
